HUTT VALLEY GUN CLUB
A shoot was held by the Hutt Valley Gun Club on Saturday, under ideal weather conditions. Despite .the excellent conditions, the shooting was not of the standard expected. The first match was for a leg-in trophy for-Mr. S. Scott's trophy of 21 birds, W. Haase winning with 19 breaks. The following were the handicaps and scores:—W. Haase (11yds) 19 breaks, E Flux (19yds) 18, A. Scott (15yds) 17, Dr. M'Evedy (11yds)) 17, A. Caldwell (20 yds) i 16, C. Moore (16yds) 15, A. Cook (16yds) 13, C. Pearse (19yds) 12, A. Swanson (16yds) 12, W. Kilminster (Byds) 12, S. Scott (Byds) 10, J. Brassell (14yds) 8, J. Scholes (15yds) 6, K. Duncan (Byds) 6. W. Donovan, who shot off a practice mark, scored 2v, breaks. The second match was a 15-bird handicap sweepstakes. The following were the handicaps and scores: — A Caldwell (20yds) 13 breaks, A. Swanson (16yds) 13, A. Cook (10yds) 13, S. Scott (18yds) 13, C. Pearse (19yds) 12, J. Brassell (14yds) 12, Dr. M'Evedy (11yds) 12, E. Flux (19yds) 11, C. Moore (16yds) 11, A. Scott (15yds) 11, W. Haase (13yds) 10, J. Cave (19yds) JO, K. Duncan (Byds.) 5, W. Kilminster (Byds) 3, W. Donovan 13. Caldwell and Swanson divided the sweepstakes.
