SONETS AND DEPORTS PRINCIPAL ITEMS "Evening Post," 13th February. During the twelve months which ended on 31st December last New Zealand exported produce to the value of £55,579,063. The value of the produce exported' to British countries was £47,459,005, foreign countries taking £8,120,063. Outside of the United Kingdom (which took goods to the value of £40,9aG,<Sb), Canada was New Zealand's best customer so far as British countries were1 concerned. She took, goods to the value of £3,353,000. Australia was next with £2,388,574, India took £380,421, and Fiji £135,652. Of the'foreign countries the United States of America was New Zealand's best customer, the value of the exports to that country being £3,653,327. ■France was next with £1,768,399 and Germany third with £1,220,899. Exports to Japan totalled £428,577, and Belgium took goods to the value of £248,725. The value of imports during the year was £48,797,977, the contribution of British countries being. £33,087,953 and that •of. foreign countries £15,710,024.
