LONDON, 23rd December.
A copyright message from Sir Hubert Wilkins, wirelessed from , Adelaide Island on 22nd December, says: "The heights of Graham Laud once more have been spanned by aeroplanes. We twice, piloting the Lockhead A rcga as a seaplane, ilew over the black-faced stoop cliffs on tho western shoro over tho 9000 feet plateau to tbe Weddell Sea. Clouds to-day covered tho Weddell Sea to 3000 feet, but the high western edge was distinguishable. Wo took off from , the southern edge of oScumeyer Channel, ilew o.ver Flanders 1 Bay, turned south along the coast to Biscoo Bar, over Graham Land, to Nochthafen Valley, returned northward over the Graham Land heights to a safe landing at Port; Lockroy. Best of all was the sight of flat ice ill Biscoe Bay, which wo expect to reach in the aeroplane. We shall proceed to the ice edge if the weather holds good, hoping soon to take off for tho long flight." Biscoe Bay is on the western, coast of Graham Land, -on the Antarctic Circle.
