ARTCRAFT THEATRE.
The story of "The Single Standard," Greta Garbo's new picture which Is now being shown at the Artcraft Theatre, concerns a tempestuous society girl who Is sickened by the world of pretence in which she finds herself, and defies feminine conventions by running away on a South Sea yachting trip with an adventurous artlst-flghter-and-sallor. Married and the mother of a baby In later years, she still loves her roving sweetheart, but resists the urge to return to his arms when she feels her boy's chubby hands tuiglng at her heartstrings, conscious that for women- there is a moral code apart.
