For the convenience of the Public arrangements have been made for the Rates Office, Town Hall, and the City Engineer's Office, Mercer street, to be open for the receipt of moneys and the issue of permits on MONDAY, the 30th DECEMBER, 1029, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Should any matters of an urgent nature require attention on the days when the Offices are closed, persons are requested to ring Telephone 21-729 (Coropration Yard), where someone will be in attendance during the holidays. TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT. The Traffic Department will be closed on Christmas Day, 25th December, and Sunday, 29th December. An officer will be in attendance on all other days from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. During the period from noon on the 24th December, 1929, to the 2nd January, 1930, no licences will be issued by the Department. PUBLIC LIBRARIES. The Public Libraries will be CLOSED on CHRISTMAS DAY (25th DECEMBER), BOXING DAY (26th DECEMBER), NEW YEAR'S DAY (Ist JANUARY), and THURSDAY (2nd JANUARY, 1930). TE ARO, THORNDON, AND KHANDALLAH BATHS. The Te Aro, Thorndon, and Khandallah Baths will be CLOSED • all day on CHRISTMAS DAY, 25th DECEMBER GOLF LINKS, BERHAMPORE. The Golf Links, Berhampore, will be CLOSED all day on CHRISTMAS DAY, 25th DECEMBER. NOTICE TO UNDERTAKERS. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following streets will be CLOSED to vehicular traffic between the hours of 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. on TUESDAY, the 24th DECEMBER, 1929:— Lamb ton quay: Grey street to Willis street. Willis street: From Stewart Dawson's Corner to intersection of Manners street. Manners street: From Willis street to Taranaki street. Cuba street: From Manners street to intersection of Vivian street. Inquiries concerning traffic matters may be made up to 9 p.m. on any day during the Christmas holidays, excepting Christmas Day, 25th December, and Sunday, 29th December, 1929, by ringing Telephone 45-344. A PLENTIFUL Supply of Pasteurised Cream will be available on rounds throughout the Holiday Season at the following prices:—%-pints Bd, %-pints Is 3d, pints 2s 6d per lot. Bottles extra; %-pints 3d, %-pints 4d, pints 5d each. Payment for cream may be made either by coupon or cash. If bottles not left out or coupons presented, quantity of cream required should be stated on written order to Roundsman. SHOP HOURS. On 25th and 26th December, the Department's Dixon street Shop will be open from 8 a.m. to noon. CLOSING OF PUBLIC OFFICES. The offices of the Department will be closed on 25th and 26th December. ORDERS AND COMPLAINTS OFFICE This office will remain open from 8 a.m. to noon on 25th and 26th December.
