SPEEDWAY RACING

A special holiday programme has been arranged for Boxing Night at the Kilbiruie Stadium Speedway, the events set down for decision including the Big Six Scratch Points race in which the best six'riders will be engaged. The conditions for this particular race provide for the riders meeting one another, so that the racing should be of the highest order yet seen at the Stadium. The noted Australians, C. fepiiiks, L. van Praag, and A. Mann, who made such a five impression last toaturday, will be among the competitors, aad from this trio alone there should bo broadsiding at its best. To add to the high standard of competition there, will be three of New Zealand's outstanding performers—W. Kilmister, H. Mangham, and B. Naylor— and their teats with the Australians will account for keen and exciting racing- The Big Six wiii be but one of the features of Thursday night's meeting. Other events are to be contested by first and second division riders, and attempts will be made at record-break-ing, while the final of the Silver Gauntlet will also be decided. The meeting promises to be even better than that staged last Saturday. Other particulars are given elsewhere in this issue, and intending patrons are advised to note the arrangements regarding the booking of seats.
