SANDERS CUP
AUCKLAND BOAT SELECTED

AUCKLAND, 10th December.
. Avalon was selected by the Auckland Yacht and Motor-boat Association to-night to defend the Sanders Memorial Cup in the contest on the Waitemata Harbour next month.
The first race for the cup will be held on 28th January, thus enabling the Southland, Otago,' and Canterbury representatives to take part in the Wellington regatta on the way north.
Challenges for the Cornwell -Cup have been received from Otago, Lyttelton, Canterbury, Wellington, Napier, and Manukau. Auckland holds the cup and will defend it. The contest will be held in Dunedin, the first race being held on 18th February.
