CHARGES AGAINST ANGLER

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) KOTORTJA, 10th December. A case presenting peculiar features came before Mr. Patterson, S.M., today.

Addison Baker Creswell was charged with failing to produco . his fishing licence and for fishing without a licence. The ranger (Mr. Cobledick), on behalf of the Tourist Department, asked leave to withdraw the information at tho request of tho Tourist Department at Wellington.

The Magistrate expressed tho opinion that the grouud for withdrawal was insufficient, and after an interview with an 'official of the Tourist Department, he still held that grounds were insufficient to permit withdrawal. The Department was not prepared to go on with the case, and it was adjourned to 20th December.
