SUGGESTED INSANITY

TURKISH TAXI-DRIVERS

CONSTANTINOPLE, 9th December.

Prominent Turkish alienists' statement that the majority of Constantinople taxi-drivers are insane and drug addicts is causing fnrions denial by the Chauffeurs' Union, but is applauded by citizens, who have been subjected to an alarmingly increasing number of motor accidents. The municipality also sides with the alienists and is ordering a periodic examination of chauffeurs and promising to send to an asylum those found to be unbalanced.
