(From "The Post's" Representative.) LONDON, 18th October.

The Open Door International was founded on 16tV *t*ne, 1929, in Berlin, at th« conference called by the Open Door International Committee, under the auspices of the BritiaV Open Poor Council, for that purpose.

At the conference the folTowing were elected as the board of officers: —Elizabeth Abbott, Great Eritain; Gertrude j Baer, Germany; Louise de Craene van j Duuren, Belgium; Euth Vandeer Litt, ' U.S.A.; Chrystal Maemillan, Great. Britain; Thyra yon Beetzen-Ostman, Finland; Helen Clay Pedersen, Denmark; Frantiska Plaminkova, Czechoslovakia; "Winifred le Sueur, Great Britain; Ingeborg Walin, Sweden. Miss Buth Vandeer Littl, hon. troas urer, left on 9th August on a world tour lasting about eighteen months. She hopes to visit Russia, Turkey, Greeeo, Syria, Irak, Persia, Sudan, Aden, Madagascar, the Cape, Ceylon, Australia, anil Aewr Zealand before returning to the United States. She will represent the Open Door International, and will collect information wherever she goes as to the position of working women especially -with regard to night work, weightlifting, and the position of the marxied woman. She takes with her a letter of introduction from the president of the Open Door International, and also from working women in Lancashire and America.
