Bro David Paxton, P Patron, was installing o&cer, Sister Eachael Clements, J.P° Matron, installing marshal, Sister Ames Montgomery, assistant marshal, and Bro i• C- Sm? l<m<1 ' P- Patron, installing chapl ain -_ worthy matron presented Sister R. Clements with a cake basket, and bister A. Montgomery was presented with a gong. Xhe worthy patron presented the installing officer, Bro. D. Paxton, with a cigarette holder and tobacco pouch, and Bro. C. C. Salmond, P.P., with a pipe and tobacco pouch. Each of the recipients suitably replied. The immediate past matron, Sister Clements, was presented with a pair of vases and a jardiniere by the worthy matron for her services since chapter was instituted; both recipiients repast patron, Bro. D. Paxton, was presented with a gentleman's companion by the worthy patron, Bro. J. C. Stirling, for his services as worthy patron, since the chapter was instituted, both recipients replied. Sister Jeanie Goodwin presented the newly-installed matron, Sister A. Paxton, with a bouquet of flowei'B. Ocean View Temple, No. 19, 1.0. G.T., had to forego its usual weekly session for a very enjoyable concert which was given by the Haughton Valley Pierrot Troupe, assisted by various other artists as follows:—Mrs. Cranmer, Misses Furby, Jean Harper, Jean Duff, W. E. Furby, Flo Moynihan, Masters Middleton, and Laurenson, and Miss W. E. Furby. The concert was given in aid of the Oceau View Temple's Christmas cheer and picnic fund.
The weekly, session of the Star of Melrose Juvenile Temple, No. 0, 1.0. G.T., was held last week, there being a. good attendance. The C.T., Bro. E. Flaws, presided, assisted by Superintendent Bro. Treyethick, G.S.J.W., and Sister Flaws, Assistant Superintendent. Visitors present were Bro. E. Flaws, Nelson; Mann, seniir (Loyal Melrose), Bro. Price (Grand Secretary), Sisters Furby, senior and junior; Hancock, Gollop, and Cranmer, Munn (Loyal Melrose). The programme for the evening was games night and was iv the hands o£ adult members.
There was a good attendance at the weekly session of Loyal Melrose Lodge, No. 53, 1.0. G.T., held last- week. C.T., Sister Furby, senior, presided. Bro. Price, Grand Secretary, acted as installing marshal for the installation of Bro. K. Martin, as lodge registrar,, and assistant secretary, by Lodge Deputy Bro. Flaws. The programme for the evening was "Hobby Night."
