MAJESTIC THEATRE.

Ihe Reginald Denny who plays the load In Embarrassing Moments," the all-talking production at the Majestic Theatre, is admirably suited for "talkie" roles, his personality being of the type which rivets attention fron his first appearance. "Embarrassing Moments" is principally bedroom comedy, and It is not hard to Imagine its hllarous nature when it is remembered that it is an ull-talkinE" show. The action takes place In the home of Amos Fuller, whose daughter, .Marion, has determined not to marry the small-town beau favoured by her father. In desperation, she names Thaddeus Crulckshank, toner an imaginary person, as the man with whom she has gone through a "trial" marriage. Fuller finds that there is such a person, and immediately sends him a telegram demanding that ho should come to Fullervale and explain himself. Cruickshank sees in the Incident an opportunity of relief from the boredom of city life, but he little dreams of the reception that awaits him, or of the tangle that is to follow. A support shows play between the English cricket team and New South Wales, and there are most interesting closeups of the players. The remainder of the programme is of unusual merit

"Smiling Irish Eyes," Colleen, Moore's first talking and singing picture, will be shown at tho Majestic Theatre next Friday. The success of this screen romance is attributed both to Miss Moore's popularity and to tho care with which an interesting, entertaining story was reproduced In action, dialogue, and music. Convinced that motion is still an important part of a picture, M'Cormlck produced "Smilinr Irish Eyes" with quite as much physical action and as frequent changes of background as formerly were included in silent pictures. Jliss Moore, in the character of a little Irish eirlj both sings and speaks in "Smiling Irish Eyes, several songs having been prepared especially for the picture by prominent composers. James Hall plays the male lead opposite Miss Moore, others who fill conspicuous roles being Claude Glllingwater, Aggie HerT& » n-n Homans- B«itty Francisco, Robert Emmett O'Connor, and Julariue Johuston
