ARTCRAFT THEATRE.

John Gilbert's latest picture, "Desert Nights," is now being shown at the Artcraft Theatre. Portraying tho rolo of manager of a South African diamond mine, who is taken prisoner along with a, fortune of gems, Gilbert depicts one of the most dramatic characterisations of his career. The story is one of a terrible revenge, laid in an African desert, in which Gilbert is a dominating figure, first as a prisoner and then as a saviour of the girl and li=r bogus father who arc responsible for his and tiieir plight. Ernest Torrence plays the role of Steve, the clever crook who poses under the cloak of English nobility, and Mary Nolan gives another outstanding performance as the daughter of tu.e renegade.
