FINLAND'S INDEPENDENCE

RUGBY, 6th December. Viscount Allenby proposed the toast of the prosperity of Finland at the Anglo-Finnish Society's dinner last night in celebration of the twelfth anniversary of Finland's iudependence. He said that Finland had made itself solid and secure through the hearts of its people.
M. Saastamoincn, the Finnish Minister, replying, referred to Finland's close relations with Britain, which -was Finlaud's best customer. Their gaining of independence -was the outcome of hard political thinking and equally hard learning.
