MAGISTRATE'S COURT
. To-day's sitting of the Magistrate's Court was presided; over by Mr. T. B. M'Neil, S.M.
One first-offending inebriate was convicted and discharged. Four others, who did not appear, were ..each fined 10s, the amount of their bails.
Thomas Ridout was fined 10s on a charge of drunkenness and • £2, in default seven days, for inciting Albert Ayling to resist Constable Waugh in the execution of his duty.
Charged with using obscene language to a constable, William Reginald Roberts said that he was very drunk and did not remember committing the offence. He was fined £2, in default seven days' imprisonment. For drunkenness he was convicted and discharged.
