AUCKLAND, Bth December. A naval funeral was accorded the late Mr. George Sherman Eeade, who gave land and money to the value of over £1,000,000 for a naval training school in England, Officers and a detachment of 24 men from the warships of the New Zealand station attended, eight bluejackets acting as pallbearers. Wreaths were sent from the Admiralty, commanders, officers, and men of the ships of tho New Zealand Station and from the superintendent,-officers, and boys of the Eoyal Naval School at Greenwich.
