MR. JOHNSTON'S CAMPAIGN
. Meetings of ladies were addressed at Eastbourne and Day's Bay yesterday afternoon by Mrs. H. F. Johnston, wife of the Reform candidate for the Hutt seat. .Mrs. Johnston spoke of Reform's record in' regard to humanitarian legislation, and said all the other parties could do was to offer increases in.-the benefits- already provided without saying...where the money was to uonie'from. The speaker also referred to the need for Capital and Labour to come ;closer together iri industry. The ■way to secure the interest of the worker -was to give him something above his
wages—shares, bonuses, or premiums— so that he would work for the success of the business in which he was engaged. Mrs. Johnston was heartily thanked for her -addrosses.
