"A BOOK TO READ."
"Lady Billy," by Lilian Turner. (Ward, Lock, and Co., Ltd., London and Melbourne.)
Not for little people, this book, and certainly not for boys. If you happen to be twelve or thirteen, or older, though, ana if you are a girl, then "Lady Billie" is the book for you. There are pictures, but Fay ana Fonny and even Billie are not so old as the pictures make them look. Fonny is young enough to-get into tempers, and Billy can sulk for days . . . and days . . . and days, at any rate! Aunt Selma is a dear, and so are Jane and Peter ana the rest of them. • But really it is Billy that the book is about, and spoilt and silly as she is, you can't help liking her tremendously.
