From "When We Were Very Young," "Now We Are , Six," "Winnie-the-Pooh," and "Tlie House at Pooh Corner," A. A. Milne has collected verses and stories about Christopher Robin. The period covered is five years, from when Christopher Robin was three until he cut • his birthday cake with eight candles on it. The stories in this skimming of four books are mainly about the adventures in the forest of the Teddy Bear named Pooh and Christopher Robin. It contains also the "Three Foxes" who Didn't go shopping in the High Street shopses, But caught what they wanted In the woods and copses; ■ ■ They all went ashing, and they caught three wormsesj , They went out hunting, and they caught three wopses, Then there are stories in which Kanga (who carries baby 'Koo in his pocket), Piglet," Rabbit, Eeyore (the donkey.),.and, of course, Pooh/play important parts. The "lines written by a bear of very little train" will also be recognised with pleasure by those who can. recall them, and their question. . - Now is it true, or is 'it not, That'what is which and which is what! This "Christopher Eobin" book is likely to be highly prized by children this Christmas.' It is embellished with clever drawings by E. H. Shepard, whose work is right in the vein of humour of the prose and verse by A. A. Milne. ■:■
