Mr. E. Page, who was injured in a hiotor-cycle accident last Saturday, has now practically recovered from his injuries, while his sister, Miss A. Page, who is still in the Hospital, is reported to be progressing favourably.
Before the Great Fire of London, in 1666, most of London was built of timber, more lasting materials being used only for the churches, the finer houses, and some of the city companies' halls.
