WELLINGTON CENTRE MEETING
A meeting of tho executive committee of the Wellington head centre of the Royal .Life-saving Society was
held tins week, and there were present Messrs. W. Gerrie (chair), Chapman, Dickson, Dawkins, Ross Taylor, Ryan, Hughes, M'Nie, Cameron, Muller, Dore, Mowtell, Alexander, M'lvor, Lwedor, Begg, Duffey (chief instructor), Ingram, and Mrs. Davies.
The council received a copy of the letter sent to the Dominion Council, in which the Manawatu Sub-centre asked for -full status as a head centre. Complimentary references were made to the excellent work done by the sub-centre, and a motion was carried placing on record the head centre's appreciation of the sub-centre's work, and recommending the Dominion Council to grant the Manawatu Sub-centre's application.
It was decided to call a special meeting to deal with the question of the standardisation of examinations. Several alterations were made in the regulations governing competitions and a number of awards were confirmed/
