MR. BAVIN'S NEW STANDARD
(Received stli Dec-ember, 1 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The State Government's basic wage decision was announced by the Premier in tho Legislative Assembly. Mr. Bavin said that it was 'proposed to adopt a standard of an average family of a man, wife, and one child. Ho anticipated that the basic wage would bo fixed at £4 3s Gd, with an allowance of os for each child, after the first.
