A MINING TRAGEDY
LONDON, 4th December, a here was a poignant tragody at Viewpoint Colliery, Lanarkshire, when two men were buried by a fall of a hundred tons from tho roof. The rescuers were encouraged by hearing a faint voice, and reached the spot and saved ono who was injured. The other was m the arms of a rescuer and beine given a drink of water when ho saw another fall coming. He said, "Goodbye, boys," and was struck on the head and killed, the body again beine buried. s
