"Evening Post" Photo. WELLINGTON FROM THE AIR (No.5).—A view showing the site of the new railway station and that portion of the city best known to visitors travelling north and south. It was taken by the "Evening Post" photographer from Captain M. C. McGregor's aeroplane. The principal buildings are numbered as follows:—1, Lambton Station; 2. Railway Goods Yards; 3, Thorndon Station; 4, Wharf pile-driving plant; 5, Post and Telegraph stores; 6, Pipitea Wharf; 7, King's Wharf; 8, Glasgow Wharf; 9, Railway Wharf; 10, Southern Ferries Wharf; 11, Harbour Ferries Wharf; 12, Railway Department's Offices; 13, Central Telephone Exchange; 14, Government Printing Office; 15, Government Buildings; 16, Supreme and Magistrate's Courts; 17, Parliament House; 18, Wellington Girls' College; 19, ProCathedral; 20, Dominion Farmers' Institute; 21, Customs Office; 22, St. Andrew's Church; 23, Terrace Congregational Church; 24, War Memorial site. In the centre is Waterloo quay and to the right Lambton quay and Featherston street join up with Thorndon quay opposite Lambton quay.
