(By Telegraph.—Press Association ) CHRISTCHURCH, 4th December At the weekly metropolitan market at Addmgton to-day, both beef and mutton prices fhowed increases oh those o£ last week« sale There was a large C :Ary. of tat cattle, but in the ftt sheep action there was a short supply-the smallest for some time, lat lamb values finned on recent rates, but the fat pig prices showed no alteration.

Store Sheep.—Ail average yarding, with wethers m good supply. The market was much firmer for all classes. Wethers improved by Is 6d to 2s a head. ; Vealers.—A small entry with a few Bmall calves came forward. It was a good sale, with little quotable change in recent values. Top price was £7 10s. Good vealers made from £4 to £5; best calvers 45s to 60s; and others, 10s to 31s. Store Cattle.—A larger entry than usual met with keen competition. Prices were on a par-with recent rates. Two-year-old steers made £8 ss; best fresh cows, up to £8 ss; 18-month heifers, £5 10s 6d to £6 16s; and yearling steers, £5 13 S 6d to £8. ; Bulls were in good demand at prices up to £7 13s 6d.

Dairy Cattle.—A small yarding of average quality. Prices were much the same as those ruling last week. Values were: Best second and third calvers, to £13 10sothers,. £8 to £12 10b; good heifers, £11 to £12 10s; others, £7 to £10 10s. _ Fat Pigs.—A large entry met with an irregular sale. Both porkers and baconers sold "on a par with last week's prices. Porkers eased toward the close of the sale. Values were: Choppers, 30s to £6 6s; baconers, £i 5s to £4 16s 6d: averace price per lb, 6%d to 7%d; porkers, 42s to 635; average price per lb, 7%d to B%d. Store Pigs.—A medium entry, and prices showed decline of up to 4s on last week's sale. Values were: Stores, 28s to 42sslips, 22s to 24s 6d; weanerg, 10s to 21s 6d
