REGENT THEATRE.
Featuring Evelyn Brent, Jack Oakie, Skeets Gallagher; and Gwen Lee, "Fast Company " an all-talking production. Is the feature at the Regent Theatre. "Fast Company" concerns the adventures of a small-town buy who has deckled abilities as a baseball player. Persuaded by au itinerant actress with whom he falls in love, lie signs up witli a friend in a crack New York team. The actress soon forgets him. but she means a great (teal to the l>oy Elmer Kane. He soon plays his way to fame in the baseball world, but pines for a letter from Evelyn. His friend Bert writes him letters as if they came from Evelyn, and this contents him until ho again meets the girl, when he realises that ho has been fooled. All his interest in his work departs. It looks as if he will lose the biggest match of the year, when Evelyn suddenly realises what love is, communicates it to Elmer, and he plays the greatest game of his life, winning both the match and the girl. An interesting and enjoyable supporting programme is also screened.
