In the House of Commons, Sir Austen Chamberlain sought a ruling as to how far he could discuss the Irish iree fetate's decision not to permit appeals to the Privy Council. The Speaker said questions could not be asked concerning matters which had been delegated to the Dominions' Parliaments or colonial Assemblies, but when action was taken outsido the scope of delegated powers affecting the interests of Britain, or tho Dominions' or colonies' contractual relations towards Britain, he could not rule that it should not be debated in the House of Commons.
