ARRIVAL IN GERMANY
(Eeceived 4th December, S a.m.)
BERLIN, 2nd December. The first party, of peasants permitted to leave Eussia consisting of 244 adults and 187 children, has arrived at Sydtkuhnen, Prussia. Two other detachments, totalling nine hundred, are due by to-morrow. The Ger.aan Government is finding accommodation until their future is decided. The majority are Mennonites, but their places of origin are widely separated, ranging from the Volga to Siberia, Turkestan, the Caucasus and Crimea. It is noted that although the families have been settled in Eussia a hundred and fifty years they speak faultless German. The majority wish to go to Canada.
