"Evening Post" Photo. SYDNEY STREET CUTTING.— Few people, even those of the western suburbs who looked forward most to an improvement to their means of access, had pictured for the Sydney street improvement so great an excavation work as it turned out to be. The photograph shows the cut from the city end. In the right foreground is the lower level road and in the left the commencement of work on the high level road, which eventually will take a double tram track. The great depth of the cut is seen in the centre of the picture.
