DANCE RECITAL.
Tho pupils of Miss Nancy Rabe held a delightful dance recital in the Masonic Hall last evening. It was a pageant of colour and dancing, Into which was woven many novel and attractive scenes. The first half of the programme consisted of solo dances and ballets, the latter being very pleasantly staged A particularly enjoyable presentation was a ballet number entitled "That's You, Baby " in which some of the tiny tots took part. ' The latter half of the programme comprised a Chinese scene, "The Temple of the Green Dragon." This was carried out with the traditional frockking, and the various characters portrayed by the children were splendidly done. The dialogue in the play was excellently handled, those taking part being: Betty Kofoed, Molly Denmuth, Nathalie Pollock. Audrey Slav Barbara Harton, Merle Wllkens. Esme Wilson' Maud M'llveney, Joy Neale, Margaret and Beryl Burns, Betty Bafgent, Hazel Qulnnel Betty Itosenthal Mary and Margaret .Morgan' Valeric Madden Janice Kelly, Dorothy Forrest' Bill Meldrum, I'eter Myers, and Roma Constable. Other items on the programme wero" Gokap, Russian dance, Betty Rosenthal; recitation, Audrey May; doll dance, Dorothy Forrest, Janice Kelly, Valeric Madden; military dance. May and Margaret Morgan; pas de dues, Noel Pnulin and Margaret MitchellDance of the Elves. Betty Knefcrl. Nathalie Pollock. Audrey Wilson, Margaret Mitchell. A Russian folk dance by Nancy Rabe and Barbara Harton was faultlessly performed, and was received with great appreciation. The acting of the pupils throughout the play was oxcellent, and reflects p'reat credit on their teacher. Miss Rabe. Mrs. ,1. J. Johnston was the pianist for the evening.
