DALGETY & CO.'S YEAR.
In commenting on the annual report of Dalgety and Co., to 30th June, "The Times" remarked: "Very favorable results are disclosed in the latest report of Dalgjty and Co. Net profits of this company, which plays an increasingly imporant part in the development of Empire trade and_particularly that of Australia £429^T '?f r°S, e from £351'887 t0 £422,590. Doubtless the company has in the past year reaped more fully the benefits arising from the fresh capital raised m the summer of 1927, but in any case its earnings represent a new high figure. J9or the sixth year m succession the Ordinary shareholders receive a dividend of 17 per cent., paid free of British income-
