HOTEL THIEF CAUGHT
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. A young fireman on the Malolo named O'Eeilly was charged at the Police Coui-t with stealing £23 from Ernest Shine. The latter was staying at the City Ilote). On Sunday night he woke to find O'Eeilly at the foot of his bed. Later he discovered that £23 of £30 in notes had been stolen from his trousers • pocket. A detective accompanied Sfcino to the Malolo, where three crumpled notes were found beneath O'Eeilly ss bunk. Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., remanded the accused until 3 p.m. He said that failing the return of the missing money ho would be sentenced to six months' imprisonment.
