MANY FATALITIES
COLD SNAP IN AMERICA

NEW YO-RK, 2nd December. Violent deaths in the United States over the week-end already total a hundred, and are- continuing to rise as reports drift in over telegraph wires crippled by the unseasonably cold weather. The majority of these fatalities are traceable to cold waves sweeping tho country, and causing street, train, and other accidents. Numerous lives were lost in shipping and mines.
