The biggest tip ever given to a hairdresser was a legacy of £3000 left by the late Mr. Alfred Rothschild to his favourite attendant in a isliop, then, in Jermyn street (London). Unlike many men, the recipient did not cut a dash with the unexpected windfall. He invested it shrewdly,- and is. still at work.
