DRAMATIC ENTERTAINMENT.

There was. a large attendance at the Lyceum Club on the occasion of the dramatic entertainment given by Miss Hardlnge-Maltby and her pupils. -Those who attended had a great treat, as each play was well performed, and the Shakespearean scenes were particularly good. In "Achilles Affinities" the part of Achilles, taken by Miss Maltby, was excellently given, and she was well supported b? Mrs. Bray, Miss G. Griffiths, and Miss I. Mackenzie. In the scenes from "As Tou- Like It" and "Henry VIII." the parts were taken by Misses Hazel Jackson and Doris Blake in the former, and by Misses Mon'a Goodwill and M. M'Gtmpsey and Mr. Vernon Oswin in the latter. A playlet, "Lilies of Remembrance," was well performed by Mrs. Bennett, Misses D. Olsen, I. Ferguson, S. Cranraer, E. Tolley, M. Allen, I. Wemyss, and Miss Maltby. "The Colonel's Belt" (a skit) was amusingly given by S. Cranmer, E. B. Lea, I. Ferguson, and E. Tolly, and a light dialogue, "I'm Dying to Meet Mr. Fltzfaust," by Miss Hardlnge-Maltby and Miss M. E. Ahem, caused much amusement. AH old English song by Miss Dorothy Olseri, another by Miss Eva Brasier, and recitations by Miss Enid Sturdy and Miss Dorothy Esher went to make up" a very attractive programme, which was much appreciated by the audience.
