REGENT THEATRE.
Featuring Evelyn Brent, Jack Oakie, and Skeets Gallagher, "Fast Company," an alltalking production, !s the feature at the lieKent Theatre. "Fas; Company" concerns the adventures of a small-town boy who lias decided abilities as n baseball player. Through the persuasion of au itinerant actress .he signs up with a friend to join a leading team in New York. The actress soon forgets him but she means a great deal to tho boy, Elmer Kane. Ho soon plays his way to fame in the baseball world, but ' pines for a letter from Evelyn.- His friend. Bent, writes him letters as If they came from Evelyn, and this contents him until lie again meets the girl, and he then realises that he has been fooled All his interest in his work departs, and it seems as if he will lose the biggest match of, the ..year when Evelyn suddenly realises what love is, communicates it to Elmer, and he plays the greatest game of his life, to win both tho match and tho girl. Jack Oakle makes of Elmer Kane a delightful character. Evelyn Brent gives ono of her usual finished portrayals and the remainder of the cast are also good. An interesting and enjoyable supporting .programme is also screened. ,
