A radio message from the Parracombe, en route from Quebec, states that she expects to arrive at Auckland at 4 p.m. to-morrow. OIL TANKER CONSTRUCTION. tn September contracts were made for the construction of 40 motor tankers totalling 440 - 000 tons deadweight. According to "The Motor Ship" 22 are for Norwegian owners, and 19 will be built in this country. . There are now 43 motor tankers with a total deadweight capacity of nearly 500,000 tons on order with British yards, whilst the tonnage of oil tankers being built throughout the whole world including the United Kingdom, is approximately 1,000,000 tons deadweight capacity. It is estimated that the steam-driven tankers now on order do not total more than 100,000 tons deadweight capacity. MARAMA'S PASSENGERS.
