CREDULOUS VICTIMS
"CON" MEN'S KECORD LONDON HARVEST LONDON, Ist December. Confidence tricksters in London have established a record this year. It is reliably estimated that thus far they have netted £200,000 from credulous victims, many of whom are Australians. Scotland Yard officials say most of the confidence men are now en. route to various parts of the world, the Riviera, Madrid, Florida, and Sydney, for leave, ease, and in quest of unsuspecting pigeons. Only one woman is known to have fallen a victim. A well-known detective is of opinion that prison is not good enough for confidence men. They deserve .a public testimonial.
