It was revealed during the evening that Sir William and the Mayor (Mr. G. A. lroup), who was present, attended the same school in Aberdeen-Gordon's College—and the Mayor and the chief guest entertained the company with a number of amusing stories of their school life. Responding, to the welcome, Sir William Noble gave interesting details of his life and work. '
