SHORTT'S THEATRE.
In "Ned M/Cobb's Daughter," which Is now being shown at Shortt's Theatre, Irene Rich has the role of an unhappily married young woman, the wife of a former convict, wiio keeps a restaurant on tho coast of Maine. Her husband steals £400 from a transportation company, and when his crime is revealed she obtains £400 from a bootlegger to prevent her husband's arrest. The bootlegger makes her home the base of his rum-running operations, and this leads up to a series of thrilling events which make the picture outstanding as a screen entertainment. There is a good sup« porting programme.
