The Petone Rose Show, which was held under the auspices of the St. David's, Petone, Horticultural Society, was opened by the Mayor of Petone (Mr. D. M'Kenzie) yesterday. Mr. JPKenzie congratulated the Society on the high class of the exhibits. The following are the awards: Open Class.—F. 'Westbury, 4 firsts Amateur Class.-J. Ball, 3 firsts, 2 "secondß; 1 Westbury, 3 firsts, 2 seconds; Cairns, Z firsts, 1 second; Mrs. Wakelin 1 second; Mrs. Scott, 1 second Decorative Class.—Miss E. Schneider, 3 ri ; 5 1SS Sharp> 2 firsts; Mrs. J. Ball, 2 firsts; Mrs. V. Mumford, 1 first, 1 second" Mrs. Cozens, 1 second. ' Children's Class-Zita Humphrey, 1 first 2 seconds; Sadie Marsh, 1 fh-st, 2 seconds' Kathleen Douglas, 1 first; Mervyn Sonnex J. second. ■
