EXPERT FROM AUSTRALIA

SOVIET-GOVERNMENT ORDER

(Received 27th November, 11 a.m.)

SYDNEY, This Day. ' The Norwegian motor ship Thalatta leaves at the week-end with a consignment of five thousand rams and ewes for Russia. The purchase was made on behalf of the Government of the Soviet Republic. It is understood that Eussia is placing orders for an additional twenty thousand. As the result of very strong criticism by the Sydney papers there is' a possibility that the Federal Government will pass a law prohibiting the export of stud merinos from Australia.
