NEW SOUTH WALES HARVEST
(From "The Post's" Representative.) SYDNEY, 14th November. J.ne official estimate of a 32,500 000 bushel wheat harvest for New South wales is regarded in many quarters as excessive. The general anticipation is q crop of not more thau 27,500,080 Vishels. VTntil the rains ot three w ftfur weeks ago, it was generally behevea that the New South Wales harvest would not be more than 22,000 000 bushels, probably less. Becent frosts over a wadely-scattered area have in many cases, destroyed tho crops'for wheat; these crops aro already being cut for hay. Wheat growers and exporters are watching with interest the Canadian decision to withhold wheat from shipment to importing countries ? U al V 16W I°, im Pr°™g the price. Canada's gamble i 3 generally regarded as somewhat dangerous from her own standpoint. The belief is that, if Canada is prepared, at huge cost, to JISiA V*?- wheilt for an period, Australian growers will probably benefit, if they are prepared to sell their wheat during the time that Canada is withholding its supplies from the market.
