CHEAP MONEY FOR FARMERS.
WASHINGTON, 26th November. The united States Secretary of Agriculture, Mr. A. M. Hyde, predicted lower interest rates on loans to farmers after he and a group of farm leaders had conferred with President Hoover to-day. The leaders recommended to the President an immediate extension of the national roadbuildmg programme. Throughout the day President Hoover's office was flooded with telegrams _ from many sources indicating that officials of all capacities are eager to co-operate with the President's programmes of construction and development J.ne President's final conference will be °"c ™"» the utility heads, after which the Chambers of Commerce will take up the work begun by Mr. Hoover.
