MEAT MARKET WEAKER.
The Bank of New Zealand Produce Department has received the following advice_ from its London office as at close of business last week. The frozen meat market is weaker for lighter weight wethers. The market for ewes is steady and no material change expected yet.. There is a fair demand for lambs. The market is short -of supplies of beef and prices are nominal. Wethers, light 6d to 6%d per lb, heavy 5%d to 6d; ewes, 4d to 4%d; lambs, 2's 8d to B%d, B's 7%d to Bd, 4's 7ttd to 7%d, seconds 7d to 7%d; ox hinds, 5%d to 6 1/ id, fores 4%d to 4%d; cow, hinds 5d to 5%d, fores 3%d to 4%d."
