BARON ELCHO CASE

EUGBY, 23rd November. Destroyers were sent on Thursday by the Commander-in-Chief on the Mediterranean in search of the British steamer Baron Elcho, wireless messages having been received alleging an attempt" to drug or murder tho wireless operator, i.ews has since been received by the owners of the Baron Elcho in Glasgov from their Port Said agent announcing the illness of the wireless operator, and adding that thero had been no trouble on board. The London manager of the owners later said that there was reason to believe that the voyage 01 the Baron Elcho bad been uneventful, but that the wireless operator had been seriously unwell.
