'TOO HONEST FOR POLITICS?'
(To the : Editor.)
Sir, —The Welfare League may or may not have intended to cast reflections on - the honesty of-all politicians when it stated on 10th June: "There is a doubt if Stanley Baldwin is not too honest for the game of politics," but that is the inference .1 deduct from the statement. I, like many [others, enjoy the extravagant language <£ the league, and look forward -to thes« jokes; but a joke may be carried too far. Xo suggest that politicians are not honest | is hitting below the belt.
