LORD MAYOR'S FUND
PAYMENTS UP TO DATE
QUESTIONS IN COMMONS

LONDON, 28th January.
In tho House of Commons Lord Eustace Percy, in reply to a question, said that the Lord Mayor of London's miners' fund had made payments to 25th January totalling £197,127. South Wales had received £94,250, and Durham and Northumberland £78,100 from the fund, which totalled £570,000. The Treasury had not yet paid anything to the fund out of the pound for pound vote. This would bo paid as required.
Mr. J. Batey (Lab.): "Isn't it disgraceful that only £197,000 has been paid out of a fund of over a million, when the miners and their families are starving?"
Lord Eustace Percy: "The disbursement of the funds is dependent on district committees and organisations."
