"THE GIRL BEHIND THE COUNTER"
"The Girl Behind the Counter," a popular musical comedy by the author of "The Arcadians," will be staged at the Grand Opera House on Thursday, 2nd December, by Mr. David Devitt, by special arrangement with Messrs. J. 0. Williamson, Ltd., the proceeds of which will be devoted to the cause of St. Mary's Homes at KarorL A strong cast of Wellington amateurs, which includes Alice Harris, Lillian Grey, Mollio Plimmer, Kitty Muri, Mabel Robertson, Norman Byrne, Robert Charlton, Joseph Hunt, Harold Abbot, James M'Bride, Walter Norwood, Leslie Anderson, and Jack Cannon, will stage the comedy, the performance of which will be for the first ame in New Zealand. The music, tuneful and wholly delightful, will be sung by a full chorns under Mr. Len Barnes, and numerous specialties are to be introduced, including items by Miss Florence Heyworth and Philip Low, who are the principal dancers. The box plan opens at The Bristol to-morrow morning, where day sales will also be procurable. A matinee performance will take place on Saturday, 4th December.
