WELLESLEY CLUB v. NAVY.
Teams representing the Wellesley Club and the two warships in port met in a match at the Hutt Recreation Ground on Monday, an enjoyable and closely-contested game resulting in a win for Wellesley by seven runs. The Navy compiled 159 (Lieut-Commander Selby 62, Engineer-Lieut. Shaw 10, Lieut.-Commander Rowley 12, Lieut.Commander Macintosh 18, Commander Peters 30), and Wellesley Club made 166 (C. G. Wilson 32, M. Crombie 32, H. C. Morton 14, T. M. Wilkes 15 not out, C. A. L. Treadwell 14). Bowling for the Navy, Lieut. Lingard took three wickets for 68 runs, Lieut.-jCommander Selby two for 14, and Commander Peters two for 12; and for Welleseley, Wilson took five for 39, and D. C. Collins three for 58.
